Virtual Public Information Session on Final Design/Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement

A date and time for a virtual public information session on the final Rockland Riverway Trail design and Generic Environmental Impact Statement in September will be announced soon.

Public Hearing on the Draft Generic Environmental Statement (DGEIS)

Rockland County has prepared a DGEIS, a comprehensive document that evaluates a project’s potential environmental, social, and economic impacts to comply with State review, for the Rockland Riverway Trail.

The comment period for the DGEIS is open from July 29 through August 24. You may provide a comment by:

  • Attending the Public Hearing on August 13 (5 PM; Besso Room at the Palisades Center) and making a verbal comment up to 3 minutes long 

  • Sending a letter to The ARPA Department, 50 Sanatorium Road, Building A, 8th Floor, Pomona, New York 10970

  • Sending an e-mail to ARPA@co.rockland.ny.us
